Phoenix in Action: A Demonstration of Web Development in Elixir
If you've ever used a web framework, you may have had to choose between productivity and performance. With Phoenix, you don't have to make that choice, you get both! And much more.
Phoenix is a web services framework for Elixir applications. It provides the building blocks for creating fast, efficient, scalable web services.
Phoenix was built for the modern web. It supports the standard request/response model, but also provides an abstraction called Channels for realtime messaging over WebSockets.
In this talk, I'll show you just how easy it is to get up and running with Phoenix by building an application, live!
Phoenix certainly has a lot to offer. Come join in the fun.
