Ketan Joshi
Independent climate and energy analystKetan Joshi is a Norway-based climate and energy consultant and writer, specialising in accountability, greenwashing and delay narratives. After working for six years at a wind energy company in Australia and with government research agencies, Ketan wrote “Windfall: Unlocking a Fossil Free Future” with the University of New South Wales Press, covering the spread of health fear narratives around wind farm development, corporate malfeasance and political climate delay over the 2010s in Australia. He has published work in the New Republic, the Guardian, Foreign Policy, the Canberra Times and others.
Ketan has worked with large European climate organisations to focus on corporate accountability, and is currently a Senior Associate with the Australia Institute and a board member of advertising climate advocacy group Comms Declare.
Ketan was lead author on “The AI Climate Hoax”, the first investigation into AI-specific greenwashing, on behalf of a group of climate and corporate accountability groups. He was also lead author on “Energy Vampires”, a Greenpeace Australia Pacific report into the climate threat of data centre expansion in Australia.
