Søren Toft Odgaard is an experienced Software Engineer and Technical Leader with a strong focus on well-structured design, clean code, and sustainable technical decisions.

He has worked across the full lifecycle of software development — from early technical discovery and client dialogue to delivery, evolution, and long-term maintenance — often in complex, real-world contexts where trade-offs matter.

Søren is a lead instructor on Technical Leadership in Practice (TLIP), a hands-on program designed to help experienced developers grow into confident and effective Tech Leads. His teaching is grounded in practice rather than theory, combining solid technical principles with facilitation, mentoring, and decision-making in real teams.

In his work, Søren is particularly interested in how architecture, technical debt, and development practices become leadership concerns — and how Tech Leads can create impact not by being the smartest person in the room, but by enabling others to make good technical decisions.
