Jacob Sherson is the founding director of Center for Hybrid Intelligence and the game-based citizen science platform ScienceAtHome.org with more than 300,000 contributors. He holds a joint professorship MSO at the departments of Physics, Management and Cognitive Science at Aarhus University.
In his interdisciplinary Center both human and algorithmic problem solving are investigated through the lense of machine optimization, psychology, cognitive science and behavioral economics. Apart from natural and social science games, he is also investigating large-scale game-based assessment of both basic cognitive skills and 21st century skills like creativity.
Over the past couple of years Jacob has been awarded the Bold Award in the AI category and the Breaking the Walls prize for his work on hybrid intelligence.
