Understanding and Implementing FAST (Fluid Adaptive Scaling Technology)
Register for this masterclass
This Masterclass is designed for anyone curious to learn more about this innovative way of working and collaborating. It benefits managers, change agents, and consultants looking for alternative options to offer their customers beyond more common agile methods. FAST provides a way to solve scaling issues that come with static teaming, reignites innovation, and helps move to a product-led organization.
About the Masterclass Understanding and Implementing FAST Covers FAST's what, why and how.
Some of the core topics covered will include: • Elements of FAST – experienced through a FAST simulation • Fluid teaming, work, and leadership. • Coordination, Cooperation or Collaboration • How self-organization can solve dependency management woes • FAST experiences from the real world. • How to get started with FAST
While the class has a plan, emergence controls the flow. We allow the group's interests and needs to determine the content and pace for emergence and best learning. The class kicks off almost immediately with a simulation where you will experience FAST first-hand, and we plan to continue as we start with this mode of learning through activities throughout.
About FAST Fluid Adaptive Scaling Technology (FAST) is part of an Operating Model for business adaptability that combines modern product management, management innovation, and agile. FAST uniquely combines these for emergence, responsiveness, innovation, collaboration, and effectiveness. It can be used as an agile method for single teams and a scaling method when challenges cross multiple teams.
FAST is unique in many ways: • Fluid teaming • Self-management and self-organization beyond just lip service • Complex Adaptive System • An agile method for product discovery and not just delivery (i.e. escaping the "Build Trap" of Feature Factories) • Creates a network organizational structure rather than a collection of static teams
Who Should Attend and Why? The class primarily targets Leaders, Consultants, Change Agents, and Product Managers. However, it is valuable to anyone involved in any creative endeavor that requires collaboration. FAST can be used on a small scale (think two pizza-sized teams) or a large scale (think large multi-team effort). The class will discuss both ends of the scale.
