All You Need to Know

Everything you need before you head our way, so you can spend your time on the good stuff.

TL;DR

Check-in: bring a valid photo ID. That's it. There's no ticket and no QR code. 

Wifi: the network and password are printed on your badge 

Doors open: 07:30 Wednesday, 08:00 Thursday, 07:45 Friday

You only check in on your first day. After that your badge is your ticket, so bring it every morning.

Getting to TAP1

From the airport

Take the M2 metro straight from the terminal and ride to Øresund St, about 10 minutes. From there it's roughly a 20-minute walk to TAP1. The metro runs around the clock, so a late arrival is fine.

Coming straight from your flight with a suitcase? We have a cloakroom with luggage storage at the venue. 

A taxi from the airport to central Copenhagen is a fixed 300 DKK and takes 25 to 35 minutes.

By metro

The M2 line stops at Øresund St and Lergravsparken St. Both are about a 20-minute walk from the venue.

By bus

Bus 37 stops at Raffinaderivej, a 5-minute walk from TAP1. It runs from Christianshavn St. Bus 31 stops at Holmbladsgade, a 10-minute walk away.

By bike

Biking in Copenhagen is easy and often faster than everything else. Donkey Republic has bikes all over the city that you unlock with the app: 99 DKK for a 24-hour day pass on a classic bike, or pay by the minute for short hops. E-bikes cost a bit more.

One thing that catches people out: end the rental in the app when you're done. Locking the bike alone keeps the meter running.

If you're new to Danish bike lanes: stay right, signal with your hand before you turn, put an arm up when you stop, and use lights after dark.

By taxi

Uber and Bolt both work in Copenhagen. Or call one directly:

Tipping is built into the fare.

By car

There's a Q-Park at the venue with around 300 spaces, at Raffinaderivej 6-10. Pay by card or in the Q-Park app.

Masterclasses

Masterclasses run 09:00 to 17:00 on Monday and Tuesday, at venues around Copenhagen. Your confirmation email has your location, and it's also listed on each masterclass page.

Søborg and Hellerup sit outside the city centre, so allow 30 to 40 minutes from central Copenhagen. Check your venue the night before.

Tickets: the City Pass Small covers zones 1 to 4, including the airport run. It's 100 DKK for 24 hours and 220 DKK for 72 hours, which covers Wednesday to Friday. Buy it in the Rejsebillet app or at the machines in any metro station.

Food and drink

We keep you fed all day.

  • Lunch is on us, as well as dinner on Thursday
  • Drinks during the social events are included

Free evening talks around the city, open to everyone. Sign up separately, spaces are limited.

Monday 28 September, 18:00 to 20:00

Tuesday 29 September, 18:00 to 20:00

Welcome reception, Wednesday

18:45 to 19:30 at TAP1, right after the last keynote of the day. A drink, a bite and the first proper round of hallway conversations.

GOTO Gathering, Thursday

18:45 to 21:00 at TAP1. Food, drinks and long conversations with the people whose talks you sat in all day. Bring your board game and yoyo skills.

Dress code

Come as you are. Comfortable shoes beat everything else, since you'll be moving between stages all day.

Wifi, slides and recordings

Wifi: the network and password are on your badge.

GOTO Guide app: build your personal schedule, get real-time updates and find the other attendees through the networking feature. Download it before you arrive so it's ready to go.

Recordings and slides: every session is recorded. You'll get access to the recordings and the slides after the event.

Accessibility

TAP1 is accessible for visitors with disabilities. There's a ramp at the main entrance and accessible toilets inside. We also keep a quiet area open with a well-stocked fridge and strong wifi, for when you need a break from 1,400 people.

Good to know in Copenhagen

Paying: cards work everywhere, including buses and kiosks. You can get through the whole week without touching cash. MobilePay is the local favorite, though it needs a Danish bank account.

Tipping: service is included, so tipping is optional. Rounding up is plenty.

Tap water: excellent. Bring a bottle and refill it at the venue.

Weather: expect 13 to 17°C, wind and a decent chance of rain. Layers and a light waterproof jacket will serve you better than an umbrella, which the wind tends to win against.

Emergencies: call 112. It's free from any phone and the operators speak English.

Language: English works everywhere in Copenhagen.

Plugs: Danish sockets take the standard European two-pin plug. Bring an adapter if you're coming from the UK, US or Switzerland.
